Blue...A Rescue & Adoption Story To Remember 💗

This dog used to hang around a persons home when he could get loose and the family would feed him and take him in whenever he was around. For days they hadn't seen him and would go out calling for him but he was nowhere to be found.
Continuing to call out for 'Blue', after a while of walking around their property they could hear a faint whimper. Following the sound, there he was in the snow and looked as if he was trying to crawl to their home.

Arrival at the HVGB SPCA in Labrador

He was brought to the Volunteers at the Happy Valley Goose Bay SPCA in Labrador right away and taken to the vet immediately. He was in hard shape and upon examination the vet had counted over 16 puncture wounds all over his body.
Factoring in the spacing of the puncture wounds it was thought the weapon used to assault him was likely a BBQ fork. There was also a cut in his neck that was suspected to have been inflicted by wire. it is likely that these injuries were inflicted while he was tied up.

 Injuries sustained

While in Foster Care after approximately 2 months most of his injuries had healed except the cuts down around his private area which had abscessed and took longer to heal.
Even though he was going through all of this and was in so much agony, he never once growled. He only offered complete love and affection. I Don't know how many tears were shed over Blue but now he is happy and has the most wonderful loving life with an adoring Family in Nova Scotia.
